The police uphold the laws created by parliament, by making arrests were necessary. Their aim is to protect the public.

CPS aim to prosecute offenders in court. They check all evidence given to them and present it in court.

the probation service prepare pre-sentence reports for judges in the courts so they can choose the appropriate sentence. Probation work with offenders when they are out of prison and also work with victims of crime.

pressure groups are organisations that put pressure on the government in the interest of a specific case.
Charities are groups that aim to influence the public about a specific case
