Integumentary system
provides protection and regulates body temperature (ex.skin)
Skeletal system
provides support and protection, site of hemopoiesis (blood cell production), store calcium.(ex.bones)
Muscular system
produces body movement, generates heat when muscles contract. ( ex. Muscles)
nervous system
system that controls muscles, respond to sensory stimuli, and helps control all other systems of the body. responsible for memory. (ex.nerves)
Endocrine systems
is glands and cells cluster that makes hormones. Maintain homeostasis of blood composition. (ex.thyroid)
lymphatic system
transports and filters lymph. may participate in an immune system.(ex.lymph-nodes).
cardiovascular system
help distribute hormones, nutrients, gases, and pick up waste products. (ex. heart and blood vessels)
respiratory system
is the exchange of gases (oxygen and carbon dioxide ) between blood and the air in the lungs (ex.lungs).
urinary system
filters blood to remove waste products. Concentrates waste products in the form of urine. (bladder)
Digestive system
(Mechanically and chemically) digests food, absorbs nutrients, and expels waste products. (ex. stomach)
Reproductive system
produce male/female sex cells and hormones. (uterus, penis)
