Sesiles- have a wide base
Peduncalate-attached by a narrow pedicle
How to describe loss/ breakdown of mucosa:
Atrophy, erosion, ulcer

Punched out
-Raised,rolled margins
soft surface, and underlying tissue
Firm/ indurated
Describing history of ulcers:
How long has it been present, more than 3 weeks?
Has it happened before-recurrent, spontaneously healing, persistent

Associated symptoms-pain, bleeding, bad breath, sharp teeth/bone, dry mouth
PMH-anaemia, GI disease, diet, skin disease, medications, infections
