The pt also HAS TO FORCE CLOSE the LIPS…! This acts as a ‘gymnastic’ appliance n INCREASES the TONICITY of the upper lip…

2. Slight Labioversion (SLIGHT Proclamation of Ant) (just imagine! V. easy n obv)
3. Oral habits… Like mouth breathing mainly… Also can be used in others.. Thumb sucking.. tongue thrusting…

** Not used for Class 2 correction... Obv!
But in one of the questions... Given as... used in MINOR class 2 correction! So check!!
In mouth breathing... What it does is that.. separates the oral cavity from the exterior.. so pt is obviously forced to breathe through nose!!
