Q

What do basal cells look like in dysplasia?

A
  • larger nuclei
  • increase in nucleus/cytoplasmic ratio
  • tend to lose polarity
  • tend to have more mitotic figures (replicates more)
  • stacked up abnormally
  • Disordered maturation
  • abnormal cell size/shape
  • abnormal replication
  • abnormal function
