Telephonic Search Warrant
1- De-conflict
2- Establish PC nexus between location and property
3- Verify information
4- Notify Sgt
5- Determine if SWAT is needed (IAP)
6- Draft warrant - Duplicate original
Premise, PC, sealing order, night time clause
7- 2nd officer review
8- Supervisor approve
9- Notify DA
10- Present to judge
Record with 2nd officer as witness
11- Brief as a unit
Make assignments
12- Service of warrant
13- complete Return and property report
14- Equipment check
15- Leave copy of duplicate original, return, sealing order
Take pictures
16- secure location
17- impound property immediately
18- complete interviews and arrest packets
19- OR
20- 10 days to return warrant and return to judge
(Transcribed copy, return, digital copy, duplicate original, sealing order)
21- retain copy of everything for case file
22- follow up with DA to assure they have copies of case file and follow the case through prosecution
