Non luminous
Does not produce it’s own light but reflects light to be seen (moon)

Products of its own light
Transparent
Fully allows light to pass through. (Clear glass)
Translucent
Partially allows light to pass through (bathroom widow glass)
Opaque
Does not allow light to pass through. (Metal) (timber)

What kind of light can reflect?
Smooth
Absorption/ reflection
Why is the wall yellow?
When the white light heats the wall, the yellow wave- length is reflected, all other wavelengths are absorbed.
Short sighted
Can’t see FAR objects
Need to have a CONCAVE lens to correct sight
Long sighted
Can’t see NEAR objects
Need to have a CONVEX lens to correct sight.
To have clear sight the image must
Be focused on the retina
A thick lens has a
Shorter focal length
A thin lens has
Longer focal length
