Which shall take precedence? AFM or SOP’s
AFM takes precedence unless SOP are more restrictive.
How far from sealed buildings, unsealed buildings or aircraft and exposed public areas must you be to start the aircraft?
5 m sealed buildings
8 m unsealed buildings or aircraft
15 m from exposed public areas
How can a firearm be carried on the aircraft?
Prior permission from the operator is required. A firearm is only to be carried in the baggage hold that is not accessible from the aircraft cabin.
When is an alternate required?
Cloud more than SCT below alternate minima
Visibility either less than alternate minima or equal to or more than alternate minima but with a forecast of at least 30% PROB fog or any other phenomenon restricting visibility
Headwind, x-wind, downwind more than maximum for aircraft.
TS or associated sever turb forecast of at least 30%
What is the alternate minima?
SCT below 1500 ft & Visibility 8km
What is the fuel flow per hour normal and for holding?
60lts/hr normal
45lts/hr holding
What is the usable fuel?
342lts
What is the final reserve and contingency requirements?
34lts or 45mins final reserve
10% or 5lts contingency
