Epidemiology:

A
  • The ELDERLY are at greater risk because they are more likely to be on opiates
  • Heroin and morphine are responsible for most drug-related deaths

  • Nausea and vomiting
  • Loss of appetite
  • Sedation
  • Craving the next dose
