What is the naloxone regimen in opioid overdose?
A
If warning signs –>
Naloxone 0.4mg titrated to effect –> if symptoms relapse within 1hr then naloxone 10mg in 50ml dextrose (60% given/hr)

What are the contraindications to giving naloxone?
A
- head injury
- epilepsy
- multi-drug /unknown overdose
- cardiac arrhythmia (methadone)
