A

Diminished red reflex in media opacity like:
corneal scar
Cataract
vitreous haemorrhage

How do we examine a light reflex?

A

Do not stand Infront of patient.

Get patient to look at distant target to avoid near reflex.

What are the common cases in general ophthalmology?

A

Conjunctivitis:
Viral - one of the eyes is really red
Bacterial - both eyes equally red and watery
Corneal abrasion/ ulcer - fluorescent green stain
Cataract - Eyes look red or white
