When is Scanning laser ophthalmoscope (SLO) used? (2)

A

Laser lights up the retina one spot at a time and the reflected light is measured

You can see the differences in healthy vs diseased tissue, e.g. retinal haemorrhage, vitreous haemorrhages, and cataracts
