0.3% from a patient with HIV infected blood

Hep B and Hep C transmission
A
Hep C is 1.8%, Hep B was 6-30% but this is a lot less now due to mass vaccination

What should you do if you get a needlestick injury
A
Clean wound and express some blood out, do not cover wound
Another doctor should take blood from you and the patient for BBV
If patient is HIV+ then need to start taking PEP
Then repeat in 6 weeks and 3 months
