IFOF
NB. There’s no SFOF.
Occipital lobe to frontal association areas.
Damage leads to semantic paraphasia (Ie. Substitute one word for another). Eff off
ILF
Occipital to anterior temporal pole
Runs deep to fusiform gyrus on inferior surface of temporal lobe.
Disruption causes loss of facial recognition
ILF = I love faces. TOP
Uncinate fasciculus
Orbitofrontal lobe to anterior temporal
Disruption can delay speech generation, but usually this recovers if other tracts are intact
Actuate fasciculus
Inferior frontal lobe to inferior parietal lobule and superior temporal region.
Runs superior to the superior sulcus of insula, and adjacent to SLF
Lateral SCIT
Navigation, lateral position/park bench
Monitoring
Linear incision
Craniotomy above and below transverse sinus - allows grip dura and retract sinus away
Supracerebellar approach, drain off csf for brain relaxation
