Does a supervisor still have to report a resolved complaint?
Yes. All complaints must be documented and reported.
Who does a supervisor contact for a complaint alleging serious misconduct?
Immediately notify the division lieutenant, who will contact the Sheriff and Undersheriff. They will decide who will investigate the claim.
What is something a supervisor is responsible for when a complaint is made of serious misconduct?
Securing information and evidence for the further investigation.
Who investigates complaints against other employees?
The direct supervisor, unless it is against the supervisor. Then it goes the supervisor’s direct supervisor.
