Q

When is continuous fire watch required?

A
  • combustibles within 15m of hot work
  • openings within 15m of hot work that cannot be covered
  • automatic suppresion, detection or fire mode ventiliation surppressed
  • combustible material adjacent to opposite side of wall and may be ignited by conduction or radiation
  • contract people performing hot work
31
Q

What are siesmic control areas?

A

Locations in the plant where safety related seimically qualified structures, systems and components may be located. (ie. RB, SCA, HPECC, etc.)

32
Q

A

A PSCR is a plant status change record and is used to document plant states that are in an abnormal configuration.

35
Q

What is the Line of Defence?

A

Line of Defence is designated walls and openings (ie. doors) that seperate the Turbine Hall from other areas of the plant. This is a safety measure should a steam line fail inside the turbine hall.
