The items listed below are treated as Category ‘A’ ONLY at single appliance stations when the item is the second item of its kind to become defective, lost or stolen and the first is still awaiting repair or replacement.

Cat B items are reported how
managed through the Purchase Order Management System (POMS). POMS will automatically direct an order to the appropriate supplier of the item of operational equipment (Babcock Critical Services Ltd, PEG, Hose & Line etc).

6.25 When Babcock Critical Services Ltd are unable to offer a replacement item of equipment to enable a ‘one for one’ exchange
the item leaving service should be released from its base location with an F171. The Babcock Critical Services Ltd representative should sign the F171 when the item is collected. The receipt copy should be retained in an appropriate location at the station or base location until an exchanged or repaired item is accepted into service.
