Movement of Mobile Plant
- Design, latyout and construction of roads incl drainage
- Terrain adjacent to roads
- Interactions between -
- Large and small mobile plant
- Mobile plant and fixed structures
- Mobile plant and pedestrians
- Operation of remote or autonomous plant
- Maintenance and testing of brakes, steering, lights & other safety features

Communication Between Outgoin and Incoming Shifts
Operator of a mine wher more than one shift is worked each day must implement a system that ensures -
- The supervisor of the outgoing shift -
- Provides a written report on the state of the workings & any relevent WHS matters
- Acknowledegs the accuracy by signing it
- The supervisor of the oncoming shift -
- Communicates content of report to oncoming crew
- Acknowledges communication of report by signing it

Explosives and Explosive Precursors
In complying with Cl 9 the operator must manage risks to explosives and precursors by -
- Ensuring that explosives and precursors are -
- safe to handle
- fit for intended use
- insensitive as raesonably practical to shock,sparks,friction and teh envirnment they are stored, transported and used
- SFARP simple to store, use, transport and control
- Ensure any dealing with explosives or precursors in in accordance with the Explosives Act 2003 and AS 2187

Inspections
Operator must ensure arrangements are in place for the regular inspection of the work environment
Must ensure the following ar etaken into account -
- Procedure for conducting inspections
- When they are to be carried out
- Competent persons
- Number of competent persons required
Operator must ensure a risk asssessment is conducted on all areas of the mine

Electrical Safety
In managing risk in accordance with Cl 9 the operator must manage risks associated with electricity
Operator must ensure -
- electrical work is carried out in accordance with the wiring rules
- Circuits are tested and the electrical engineer is notified prior to testing
- Rated switch gear is provided
- Safe isolation of electricity is provided
- Plans of electrical installations are available
- Trailing cables have realiable earth protection
- Effective earthing system in place to minimise risk from touch, transfer and step potential and the effects of lightening

Notification of High Risk Activities
Operator must ensure that a high risk activity identified in SCH 3 is not carried out unless -
- Operator has given notice to the regulator
- Waiting period has elapsed
- The activity is carried out in the manner specified
Notice must include -
- Nature of the activity & how it will be carried out
- Location
- Information requierd in Sch 3
- Hazrds identified
- Risk assessment
- Relevant parts o fthe SMS that will be used to manage risks
ISHR must also be notified
Regulator may waive or reduce waiting period
WHS MPS Regulations Cl 36
Prohibited Items
Operator must atke all resonable steps to ensure an item specified in Sch 4 is not used for a purpose that is prohibited or restricted
- Ignition sources, no source of ignition (lighters, matches) must not be used while a person is carrying or handling explosives
- within 8m of an initiation system
WHS MPS Regulations Cl 37
Closure, Suspension or Abandonemnt of Mine
- If an operator closes or suspends operations they must ensure SFARP that it is safe and secure from unauthorised entry
- Th eoperator of teh mine must not abandon the mine
WHS MPS Regulations Cl 38
Minimum Age to Work at a Mine
- A person under the age of 16 is not permitted to carry out any work in realtion to mining operations
- A person under the age of 18 is not permitted to carry out work underground unless they are over 16 & and apprentice or trainee under direct supervision
