-the hair that is wrapped around the roller.

When choosing a roller size what should you remember?
larger the roller, the greater the volume.

What does a on-base roller do?
-full volume
-roller sits directly in its base
-over direct the hair
what does a half base roller do?
-medium volume
-sits halfway in it’s base, and halfway behind the base.
-hold hair straight up from the head and roll the hair down
what does a off base roller do?
-least amount of volume
-roller sits completely off the base
-hold hair at 45 degrees down from the base, roll hair down.
