What is finger waving?
The process of shaping, interrupting a hair into an “S” pattern with the use of your fingers, combs and waving lotion’s.
What does finger waving teach us?
the technique of moving, controlling and directing the hair.
What are the three principle parts of a pin curl?
base, stem and circle.
What is the base of a pin curl?
stationary foundation of the curl, the area closest to the scalp.
What is the stem?
section of the curl between the base that gives the curl it’s the direction and movement.
What is the circle?
part of the pin curl that forms a complete circle. the size of the circle determines the width of the wave and it’s strength.
What is a skip wave?
a combination of a finger wave and a pin curl.
