- The final report was thousands of pages, spread across 5 volumes.
- It included 148 recommendations.
- The commissioners differed in their views in some areas, meaning some of the 148 recommendations were contradictory.

- The political party who formed government who called for the RC was not re-elected and there was a gov change-may affect implementations
- In August 2022, the Parliament passed the Aged Care and Other Legislation Amendment (Royal Commission Response) Act 2022 including some reccommendations eg. star ratings
- The department is currently consulting on a new Aged Care Act that they intend to pass through parliament in 2024
