5-HT3 (serotonin) R antagonist –> blocks serotonin binding to receptors at vagal nerve terminals –> inhibits vomiting reflex

Zofran Dosing: (ADULT)
4 mg slow IV/IO, may repeat once
Zofran Dosing: (PEDI)
0.1 mg/kg (max 4 mg) slow IV/IO
Zofran Precautions
Lower risk of sedation and dystonia than other anti-emetics
