Waited to show mercy to mankind, because he loved them and created them. But he had to be just because he had told them they would die if they are from the tree.
What was the incarnation and how did it solve the dilemma?
Jesus coming in the flesh as fully God and fully man. Jesus was the perfect sacrifice, and by becoming our sin on the cross, drying and rising again he saved us while also paying the price for our sin.
What does creation have to do with the Incarnation?
The creator become a part of creation
He renewed that which was lost
Why the cross?
Public,shameful, otherwise no one would believe he died.
Not from sickness because that was weakness and he healed people

He became a curse for us. The OT says death by handing on a tree meant you were under Gods curse

We would still be subject to the punishment of death

Know he was dead
His body should have seen decay but by Gods power it didn’t
