WX radar for TS detection
Avoid by 10 miles echoes with hooks fingers, scalloped edges or other protrusions
Avoid by 5 miles echoes with sharp edges or strong intensities
Avoid by 5 miles echoes with strong gradients of intensity
Avoid by 10 miles echoes showing rapid change of shape, height or intensity
Deviation calls
10 Kts from intended IAS (if required)
+50’ / -20’ from altitude (height) on MDA(H)
100’ above/ below assigned/intended altitude/height in cruise 5° from assigned/intended heading/track
Bank angle more than 30° AEO or 20°OEI
1000’/min ROD or 600’/min ROD below 500ft
1 dot on LOC and/or G/S

Cloud base: The lowest reported cloud level (reported as FEW).
Cloud ceiling: The lowest reported cloud to obscure more than half of the sky (Reported as BKN).

Enroute descent to get below
The descent shall be terminated and a climb back to MSA initiated when no visual contact with the surface of the sea, with at least 1500 meters forward visibility, has been obtained at a height AMSL of:
• 500ft by day, and
• 1000ft by night
