Easyjet fuel policy is to carry the minimum amount of fuel necessary to safely and efficiently complete the flight, while meeting regulatory requirements and maintaining operational flexibility . In keeping with this policy:
- total FOB must be sufficient for intended flight. It must include safe margin for consequences
- basic fuel planning the norm. Alternate for performance and payload restrictions
- Commander has final decision
- OCC review sectors regularly and extra fuel will be included where it’s been shown to be used regularly
- diversion not a failure
- specific purpose for extra fuel
