Measures for Passenger Illness (OM)

  1. CA’s shall take first aid and report to Captain
  2. Captain shall instruct CA’s as follows:
    a) ask doctors or medical personnel for assistance
    b) take measures in accordance with advice
  3. In case of no doctor present, request assistance
    from ground
  4. Take proper measures include change of company
    clearance or divert to nearest suitable airport in case
    of “suspended animation”

  2. CA’s shall man all passenger doors
  3. Safety instructions provided including no seatbelts
  4. Do not conduct fueling on same side as passenger step when used
  5. No maintenance on radio and electrical systems, use radio, operate power switches, start or stop GPU or connect / disconnect electrical equipment to or from airplane

Regarding doors..

  1. PBB or steps set in fixed position and door open
  2. other passenger doors ready for immediate use

And..

  • do not leave obstacles that may obstruct evacuation
  • place fire extinguishers near PBB or steps
