Can the sight glass be used for checking oil
NO
When does the red OIL PX annunciator illuminate
When oil pressure drops below 40psi or below when above idle, or when oil pressure drops to 15psi or below at idle power
When does the amber OIL PX annunciator illuminate
When oil pressure is between 15-40psi at idle power and if the oil pressure drops to between 40 and 90psi for 10 sec above idle power. If oil pressure is 15psi or below at idle, the amber OIL PX will extinguish and the red OIL PX annunciator will remain illuminated.
When do both the red and Amber PX lights come on
When Oil pressure is between 15-40psi at idle power for 5sec or more, both amber and red OIL PX annunciators will illuminate
What indications do you have of an SCU failure
You have both red and amber OIL PX annunciators illuminated while the oil pressure gage indicated normal pressure
