It lowers the power turbine output speed of over 30,000 RPM to the propeller operating speed of 2000 RPM
What are the items mounted on the reduction gear box
(PIU) propeller interface unit, torque probe, and (PMA) permanent magnet alternator
How is engine power output measured
By the torque produced by the reduction gearbox
