mass media= crime brought to police attention from public

change police attitudes=desire to prosecute certain offenders-allocation through knife crime

lack of ASB tolerance = more reporting of ASB

changeing norms and attitudes= change attitudes+more info on crime,rape abuse more reporting

critical victimology=patriarchy and poverty places powerless groups as risk of victimisation
