To defeat an adversary made vunerable by their own offensive action.
What is the purpose of a Raid?
A swift penetration of hostile territiory to secure information, confuse, exploit HVTs or destroy physical positions; concluding with a withdrawal.
What is the purpose of a Demonstration?
To distract an enemy without seeking contact.
What is the purpose of a Feint?
To distract an enemy by seeking combat.
What is the purpose of Reconnaisance in Force?
To have enemy disclose information by making them respond in offensive action.
What is the purpose of Exploitation?
To retain the initiative and deny the enemy the ability to conduct organised actions, by rapidly advancing against lessening resistance.
What is the purpose of a Pursuit?
To catch/cut-off a hostile escaping force.
What is the purpose of an Ambush?
To inflict enemy damage without allowing them the oppourtunity to respond. usualy through surprise by an action concentrated in space and time.
