That the case was opened in January of 2016.

That the case type is juvenile paternity.
If the case type is RS in a cause number, what does this mean?
That it is a Reciprocal Support case.
What does Reciprocal Support allow for?
It allows for each state to enforce another state’s support order.
What does the case type PO stand for in a cause number?
Protective Order
When searching on Odyssey, what do you use to search for a partial name or number?
The * is used as a wildcard.
When trying to locate a file, what sections of the Summary Tab might be helpful?
The location, related cases and current events sections.
If the caption of a case is not showing, which tab would you go to and what would you look for?
The Details Tab and look at the auto style box.
The Case Location can be changed on what tabs?
The Summary and Details Tabs.
When might you change the case location on Odyssey.
When the file is being moved into or out of the court.
If the judge orders a case to be made confidential, how do you do this on Odyssey?
On the Details Tab use the Security box.
What are the two main configured party types in a JP case?
Petitioner and Respondent

If you did not want a person listed on the parties tab to get automatic notices, what would you configure them as?
A Participant
How can you remove a Party?
Right click on the Party, select modify, click the connection, enter the date and select a reason.
If a cause number begins with 49C01, what does this tell you?
It was filed in the Marion County Circuit Court.
If cause number 49C011510JP012345 was consolidated into cause number 49C011510JP034567, which cause number would you enter new pleadings and orders on?
Cause number 49C011510JP034567. This is the surviving cause. The other cause is not updated after the date of the consolidation order.
If cause number 49C011510JP012345 was bundled with cause number 49C011510JP034567, which cause number would you enter new pleadings and orders on?
Both causes. The two causes will be heard together but they are still separate causes.
What information do you need to remove a party from the Party Tab?
The date of removal and the reason.
When can you remove a party from the Party Tab.
When a judge orders it to be done.
When correcting a party name, what do you need to do so that only the new corrected name shows?
Check Primary on the new name and uncheck the box for the old name.
When can you add an attorney to the Party Tab?
Only when an Appearance has been filed.
What two ways can you search for an attorney when adding them to the Party Tab?
Either by the attorney ID number or by searching the attorney’s name.
When can you remove an attorney from the Party Tab?
When a judge orders the Appearance to be withdrawn.
If a Party will need an Interpreter, how can you make sure it is noted on the CCS.
On the Additional Tab in Modify Party, select Needs Interpreter.
What does CCS stand for?

How can you print a copy of the CCS?
From the Summary page, select the yellow highlighted Case Summary.
How can the general public access a case from the Internet?
They can logon to mycase.in.gov and search by cause number or party name.
