Define OD

A

Why use OD

A
  • access to large numbers of potential partners  this would not otherwise be possible
  • easy way to meet people  some people are introverted and online dating is easier for them
  • freedom of choice
  • minimising the negative impact of rejection  being rejected online can be a lot more manageable
  • diversity of partner-profile and relationship-arrangement possibilities  e.g., casual, one night stands or long term
  • low or no cost
  • allowing users to be anonymous if they wish
