A

The common duty of care is stated in S.2(2) as a duty to take such care as in all the circumstances of the case in reasonable to see that the visitor will be reasonably safe in using the premises for the purpose for which they are invited or permitted by the occupier to be there

Under S.2(4)a an occupier is not liable for dangers caused by a contractor if the occupier:
-Acted reasonably in engaging a contractor for this sort of work
-Take reasonable steps to ensure that the work would be completely carried out
-Checked that the work had been done properly

An occupier will owe a duty to a trespasser if: S.1(3)

A

1.he is aware of the danger or has reasonable grounds to believe that it exists
2.he knows or has reasonable grounds to believe the other is in the vicinity of the danger or may come into the vicinity of the danger
3.the risk is one in which in all the circumstances of the case he may reasonably be expected to offer the other some protection
