Physiological changes in pregnancy Cardiovascular?
1) RBC volume increases
2) Cardiac output increases
Physiological changes in pregnancy RESPIRATORY?
1) TV increases by 30% due to hyperventilation
2) RV and Functional residual capacity decreases due to rise in diaphragm
Physiological changes HAEMATOLOGY?
1) Plasma volume increases by 50% (Dilutional anaemia)
2) Hypercoagulability due to increased fibrinogen and clotting factors
Physiological changes ENDOCRINE?
hCG mimics TSH causing increase in thyroid hormone but TFTS remain stable
Tx for PID?
IM Ceftriaxone + 14 days pf doxycycline and metronidazole
Management of primary post partum haemorrhage?

1st line blood Ix for primary infertility in women?
Serum progesterone 7 days before end of menstrual cycle
