pathogens
- that have a core of nucleic acids that are surround by a protein layer or sheath
-they are of necessity parasites that can only increase in the living cells of a host

- it cause abnormalities that correspond with those of virus diseases
- pathogens in this case is not virusses bit small bacteria
- these pathogens could also be mycoplasms
