Bariatric surgery considered for
BMI ≥ 40 or 35–39.9 & significant disease ( CVD, non-alcoholic fatty liver disease, OSA, T2DM, HTN) which could be improved with weight loss
~ BMI of 30–34.9 recent-onset type 2 diabetes.
