What is obesity?
A
An individual who is very overweight with a lot of body fat
BMI is a way of measuring whether an individual is a healthy weight for their height
Waist circumference is a better measure of excess fat and is used as an additional measure in people who have already been identified as having a high BMI
waist circumference is used on people with a BMI of 25-29.9 or 30-34.9
