A

40 american men who had volunteered
They were introduced into a confederate
Drew cards to see who was a teacher and who was a learner (but it was fixed)
Teacher could only hear the learner
If the learner got the question wrong the teacher had to give an electric shock and the level of shock increased by 15 volts.
