A

What is gradual commitment?

A

Makes it easier to get people to obey in small stages - making it harder to say no because they did it by a small amount

What is a buffer?

A

Any aspect of a situation that protects people from having to confront that consequences of their actions.

The environment that orders take place can also act as a buffer - suggests people are more likely to follow orders if given in an appropriate environment
