Dilaudid PRE, CONTRAINDICATIONS
PRE: assess vitals
CONTRA: cause resp depression (antidote) and constipation (order stool softener)
Morphine PRE, CONTRAINDICATIONS
PRE: assess vitals
CONTRA: resp depression (antidote), constipation (stool softener ordered), and can be itchy
MMR teaching
NOT given when pregnant and do NOT get pregnant within 3 months (Only given in rubella non-immune)
Percocet (Oxycodone/Acetaminophen) PRE, CONTRA
pre: assess vitals
contra: resp depression (antidote) and constipation (order stool softener)
Ketoralac (Toradol) PRE, CONTRA
Pre: assess vitals
contra: constipation (order stool softener), cannot given if also on Motrin, and will burn if pushed TOO FAST via IV
Vicodin (Lortab) PRE, S/SX, CONTRA
pre: assess vitals
contra: constipation (stool softener ordered)
s/sx: drowsiness
Depo Provera MOA
MOA: birth control, may get it still in hospital from delivery; short term <2 years (needs shot every 3 months)
Colace MOA
moa: short term tx constipation
Motrin (Ibuprofen) MOA, CONTRA
moa: given for cramping/mild pain (PO)
contra: NOT given if pt is on toradol
Senokot MOA
moa: short term tx constipation
TDaP ROUTE, FREQUENCY
route: given IM
freq: given c every pregnancy
