open plan office
a very large room with enter-locking work stations, arranged for non- uniform groups or office staff to work in teams depending on the duties they perform.

supervision of staff is easier, can help a greater number of staff, and provides more flexibility for arranging office equipment
disadvantages of open plan office
Always being watched, cannot lock personal items away, allot of distraction and noise.
virtual office
any place of sight such as a room at home where staff can use technology to perform their job.
advantages of virtual office
less time commuting, work hours can be flexible, employees can wear any type of clothing.
disadvantages of virtual office
less team work, greater self discipline is required.

is the process of exchanging information ideas, thoughts and messages between 2 or more people.
what are the channels of communication
formal, informal, unofficial, oral communication.
formal communication
communication that takes place through a legal channel in an organization. communication that takes place between manager or employee
informal communication
defined as any communication that occurs outside of the official channels of communication
unofficial communication
communication channels that are not formally recognized by an organization. These include informal conversations between employees, etc.
oral communication
is a form of communication that involves spoken words or verbal communication.
