What is ‘hard’ behaviourism?
A
- Type of behaviourism championed by Carl Hempel
- Argues that mental states are completely reduceable to physical and obseravble bodily movements (behaviour) without loss of meaning
- Is also called analytic behaviour because it involves an analytic reduction of mental states; taking themk apart and defining them in terms of their constituent parts

What are phenomenal properties?
A
- They are the experiential properties of some (or all) conscious (mental) states.
- They are intrinsic, non-intentional properties of mental states (also referred to as qualia).
- They are the introspectively accessible properties of mental states
- They are the properties of how things appear to (or are experienced by) the mind.
