What does RI stand for?
Reference Intake
What are deficiency diseases?
Occur when the body is lacking in a particular nutrient over a period of time
What is Digestion?
The breakdown of food to obtain nutrients
What is absorption?
The process of absorbing nutrients into the bloodstream through the villi of the small intestine
What is Utilisation?
How the body uses the nutrients absorbed into the bloodstream
