A
A form of malnutrition resulting from a reduced supply of food, or from an inability to digest, assimilate and utilise the necessary nutrients.

A
In order to assess weight you can conduct a skin fold thickness test for fat, or measure the mid upper arm circumference

A
Basal metabolic rate, thermic effect of food, physical activity and stress factors

What is involved in gastrostomy feeding?
A
Involves the insertion of tube directly into the stomach through the abdomen, and is implicated in cases where there is loss of consciousness or unsafe swallow etc.
