- Chemical digestion (by enzymes)

Food is broken down into smaller fragment , increasing surface area for efficient chemical digestion.
What hppens during chemical digestion?
Breaking down of bonds in large molecules into small molecules.

Utilization of Nutrients absorbed , for various body functions.

Process which undigested food is **passed out **from the alimentary canal.
