Nutrition Flashcards
What are the 5 components of a nutritional assessment?
- Anthropometry
- Biochemical
- Clinical examination
- Dietary evaluation
- Energy Expenditure (physical activity)
What are the 5 components of Anthropometry?
height weight body mass index (BMI) waist circumference % body fat
How to calculate your BMI?
BMI= 703 x (lbs/ inches ^2)
Describe Dietary Reference Intakes (DRIs)

Describe the mini and full MNA score that describes normal nutritional status vs At risk of malnutrition vs malnourished
Normal: 12-14 points, 24-30
At risk: 8-11 points
