AHPRA nurse (definition)
Nurses are regulated health professionals who undertake approved training pathways to become registered to practice with the NMBA. Registration entitles them to use one of the protected titles: EN, RN or NP. The profession is regulated by both NMBA and AHPRA.
Professional identity (definition)
Professional identity involves a sense of professional belonging and commitment to core values of the nursing profession. This includes embracing nursing ethics, EBP and research, life-long learning and professional development, person-centred care and inter-professional collaboration.
Professional image is an outward reflection of the deep, personal, internalised process of a nurse’s professional identity
