National Service Training Program (NSTP)
3 components of NSTP
- Reserve Officer Training Corps. (ROTC)
- Civic Welfare Training Services (CWTS)
- Literacy Training Services (LTS)
A program that is designed to provide military training to motivate, train, organize, and mobilize them for national defense preparedness.
Reserve Officer Training Corps (ROTC)
A program or activities that contribute to the general welfare and betterment of life for the members of the community or the enhancement of its facilities,especially those devoted to improving health, education, environment, entrepreneurship, safety, recreation and morals of the citizenry and other social welfare services.
Civic Welfare Training Services (CWTS)
A program that is designed to train the students to teach literacy and number skills to the school children, out of school youth, other segments of society in need of their services.

2001 - Due to protest about irregulation in ROTC particularly the death of Mark Wilson Chua
Implementation of ROTC was temporarily suspended
The First Curriculum Year would be the Military Service while in the second Curriculum year would be optional whether to continue the military services or other components.
