What is a proper noun?
It is a noun that starts with a capital letter (eg: someone’s name, days of the week, names of cities)w
What is a common noun?
These are more general names given to things (eg: rock, orange, desk)
What is an abstract noun?
These are nouns that cannot be touched. They can be feelings such as love, anger, etc
What is a collective noun?
It is the group name for many of one thing (eg: a flock of birds)
What do you do to make most nouns plural?
Add an ‘s’
What do you do to make a noun that ends in ‘s’, ‘ch’, ‘sh’, ‘x’ or ‘z’ plural?
Add ‘es’
What do you do to make a noun that ends in ‘f’ or ‘fe’ plural?
Change the ‘f’ to ‘v’ and add ‘es’
What do you do to make a noun that ends in a vowel and a ‘y’?
Add an ‘s’
