In apraxia tests, why do the words and phrases get longer?
Because as the length increases, the harder it get for patients with verbal apraxia

During an assessment, if a patient is having trouble repeating longer phrases they may have apraxia, but they have:
- memory problems
- aphasia also
etc.
Some speech characteristics we can hear with verbal apraxia:
- stopping and starting
- self-correcting
- distortions
- substitutions
(due to groping behaviors)
